cul-de-sac

[ kuhl-duhsak, -sak, koo l-; French kyduhsak ]

noun, plural culs-de-sac [kuhlz-duhsak, -sak, koo lz-; French kyduhsak] /ˈkʌlz dəˈsæk, -ˌsæk, ˈkʊlz-; French küdəˈsak/.

any situation in which further progress is impossible.

Sometimes, we think certain ties will continue on for a long long time, then we realize that they’re coming to an end much faster than anticipated.

I have realized in the past few weeks that it truly is exhausting to be thinking of a wonderful relationship you had with someone going cold; to see the line go taut is, quite frankly and in all simplicity, heart breaking.

Then the question of why starts presenting itself. Why did we reach this point? what happened? where did it start going downhill? You’d think those special ones would stick with you through thick and thin; not always the reality of the situation – sad and unfortunate.

Nevertheless, life does not stop. Time does not pause. We push forward, one step at a time. Those who are meant to be in our lives will be, and those not, may they be happy, healthy, and prosperous. Some things we do not wish for, but they happen for a reason (as cliché as it may sound).

“No one is without troubles, without personal hardships and genuine challenges.  That fact may not be obvious because most people don’t advertise their woes and heartaches.  But nobody, not even the purest heart, escapes life without suffering battle scars.”
Richelle E. Goodrich

May all the aching hearts find their healing path;

May our hearts settle lighty, gently, kindly;

May they be at ease;

May we, despite all, forever and always be warmhearted.

Yours,

N
