Why is a strong woman intimidating even to those of her own gender?
I understand when a guy is not manly enough to handle a strong woman. I do understand where he’s coming from; his insecurities.
On the other hand, the act of a woman bringing down another woman instead of strengthening her is what I struggle to understand.
The only logical answer I can find is any woman who has issues with the support of another woman, her real issues are within herself.
What kind of issues?
I believe they can be summed up through the following:
- Responding to society’s expectations rather than her own
- Finding difficulty saying NO for an answer when she should
- Lacking the courage to be herself, which makes it hard to accept a woman who has the ability to BE
- Making comparisons that end up intimidating her by another woman’s strength rather than taking the time to build her own
”A strong woman stands up for herself. A stronger woman stands up for others.”
I honestly think this topic needs much more than just quotes trying to convince women to support other women, this is just a reminder to always start with yourself, to be too busy focused on your own success that you can’t find the time to compare yourself to another, and most importantly to remember; another woman’s strength does not threaten your own.
